📲 Put Paws on your home screen
Paws Multiverse is a website, but you can install it like an app: its own icon, full screen, no address bar. It's free, there's no app store and no account, and it updates by itself.
Pick your device:
🍎 iPad or iPhone (Safari)
Use Safari (the compass icon). Other browsers on iPad can do it too, through their own Share button.
1Open pawsmultiverse.com in Safari.
2Tap the Share button: a square with an arrow pointing up. (On newer iPads and iPhones it can be inside the ••• menu.)
3Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen. If it asks, leave Open as Web App on.
4Tap Add. Paws is on your home screen! Open it from there from now on.
💾 Bringing your saved games along (iPad and iPhone)
On iPads and iPhones, the home-screen Paws keeps its own saved games, separate from Safari's. If your child already played in Safari, bring their progress over once:
- In Paws Friends? Open the new home-screen Paws, tap the avatar (top right) → 👫 Friends → I already have secret words, type the 6 secret words, and say yes to bringing back the saved games.
- Not in Paws Friends? In Safari, tap the avatar → 👪 Grown-ups → Save backup (save it to Files). Then in the home-screen Paws, tap the avatar → 👪 Grown-ups → Restore backup and pick that file.
🤖 Android phone or tablet (Chrome)
1Open pawsmultiverse.com in Chrome and tap the ⋮ menu at the top right.
2Tap Add to Home screen (or Install app), then Install. Paws shows up with your other apps.
💻 Chromebook or Windows computer (Chrome or Edge)
1Open pawsmultiverse.com and click the install button at the right end of the address bar. (No button? Open the ⋮ or … menu → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app, or in Edge: Apps → Install this site as an app.)
2Click Install. Paws opens in its own window and shows up with your apps (on a Chromebook, in the launcher; on Windows, in the Start menu).
🖥️ Mac
- Safari: open pawsmultiverse.com, then File → Add to Dock. Paws gets its own icon in the Dock.
- Chrome or Edge: the same as a Chromebook, above.
Good to know
- It updates by itself. When there's a new version, the home page says so: tap Load it (or close Paws and open it again).
- Turn the tablet sideways. The games are made for a wide screen.
- Internet: Paws Friends, Pawville with friends and the live games need the internet. Most games keep working on a weak connection.
- Removing it (press and hold the icon → Remove) also removes the saved games kept in it on that device. Save a backup first (avatar → 👪 Grown-ups → Save backup), or use your Paws Friends secret words to bring them back later.
